Who are we?
We are Joel & Em Sim, the owners and operators of Avalon Farmstay.
​
Em is the 5th generation to farm in The Rock area, and we are currently farming 1700ac including mixed cropping, and the production of ethically and responsibly raised prime lambs and wool.
​
We have hosted over 200 guests at Avalon Farmstay since opening in June 2021, and take the time to meet almost every group that has stayed.
​
Avalon Farmstay this year won the Best New Business at the Lockhart Shire Business Excellence Awards, as well as being a finalist in the Business Excellence catergory.
​
When we're not caring for guests at the farmstay or tending to tasks on the farm, you can find us sitting on the verandah relishing the opportunity to stop and enjoy life with our 4 free-range children.
