About Us
Family - Friends - Farming
We are Emma and Joel, along with Emma’s parents Philip and Alison and our four children. We operate 1700ac of farmland on “Avalon” and “Warrawong” just outside the small village of The Rock in the NSW Riverina and are the fourth generation to farm in the area.
We run a traditional sheep wheat farming enterprise and have opened our property to allow you a taste of what we love about our country lifestyle.

Driving Instructions:
If you are arriving via car you can find us at 1825 Bullenbung Rd, The Rock, NSW. You may like to click on this link for Google driving directions. You will know you have arrived when you see our AVALON FARMSTAY sign on the front gate and a beautiful tree lined driveway beyond the farm grid leading you to the old farmhouse.
Getting here without a car:
We understand that some of you will be travelling without a car. In this case finding us is pretty simple! If you are arriving from the airport and hiring a car/taxi please see the driving instructions above. The Rock township has a railway station that the Sydney to Melbourne Countrylink XPT passes through twice daily. The train only stops if passengers require, so it is a special country experience having the train stop for you! Joel and Em can support you with transport from the station to the Farmstay and back again.
Parking:
The benefit of a Farmstay holiday is that there is plenty of space for parking. The driveway allows space for multiple cars to park nice and close to the farmhouse.
